Live Class API

Add live classes to your platform in days, not months

Your LMS keeps its students, courses and branding. SuperMeet runs the live classroom, recording and attendance behind it. You call a REST API, and your students join inside your website or app.

Get API access

₹30 per class-hour

Up to 50 students, recording included, billed in 15-minute blocks. Teachers are free.

TeacherZone included

Your teachers get a full teaching studio, not just a video call.

Recordings and attendance

Delivered to your platform by webhook after every class.

How it fits

Three touch points in your stack

  • Your backend creates a class when a teacher schedules one, and requests a join token when an enrolled student clicks "Join".
  • Your website or app opens the classroom with that token, as a hosted link, an embed, or an SDK view.
  • Your webhook endpoint receives "class started", "student joined", "recording ready" and daily usage.

Students never create a SuperMeet account. You decide who gets in.

// Your server: student clicks "Join class"
const t = await supermeet.rooms.createToken(roomId, {
  user_id: student.id,
  name: student.name,
  role: "viewer" // or "host" for the teacher
});
res.json({ join_url: t.join_url });
// Webhook: recording.ready
{ "type": "recording.ready",
  "data": { "room_id": "room_7Hq2Lx9P",
            "duration_sec": 5412 } }

Frequently asked questions

What is a live class API?

A live class API lets your platform create live classes, admit students and get recordings and attendance without building video infrastructure. Your LMS keeps its users and courses, and SuperMeet runs the classroom.

How is SuperMeet priced compared with Agora, 100ms or Zoom Video SDK?

Those platforms bill per participant-minute in US dollars, roughly ₹1,000 for a one-hour class with 50 students. SuperMeet bills ₹30 per class-hour for up to 50 students with recording included, plus GST. See the comparison.

Which platforms do the SDKs support?

You can start with a hosted classroom link or an embed, which needs no SDK at all. Web and mobile SDKs are available for teams that want their own interface. Book a demo for API access and documentation.

Do teachers get TeacherZone through the API?

Yes. Teachers you admit as hosts get the full TeacherZone studio, including PDF annotation, boards, camera modes and polls, at no extra cost.

Is there a minimum commitment?

No. There's no monthly minimum and no lock-in. You get one invoice a month for the classes you ran.
